Zinda Chess is an offline chess game. You can use every feature without creating an account, and the app never asks for your name, email address, contacts, location or photos.

What we collect

To find bugs and improve the game, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect anonymous technical and usage data:

Gameplay events: for example a game started or finished, the difficulty level, campaign level and stars, the theme chosen, and whether hints or undo were used. This tells us which features players enjoy and helps us balance difficulty.
Crash and diagnostic data: crash reports, app version, device model and Android/iOS version, so we can find and fix crashes.
Device identifiers: a random Firebase app-instance / installation ID. It is not your name, phone number or advertising ID. We use it to count usage and group crash reports.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or share data with anyone for advertising. Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) to Google Firebase, which processes it on our behalf under Firebase's privacy and security terms.

Your choices

You can turn off all analytics and crash reporting at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.

Your games, settings and campaign progress are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

App updates

On Android, the app uses Google Play's in-app update feature to let you know when a new version is available. This is handled by Google Play, and the app does not send us any extra data for it.

Children

Zinda Chess is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months, and crash reports for 90 days. To ask us to delete data linked to your installation, email us at the address below.
