Googly Player Terms of Use

The rules for using Googly Player: it plays the files already on your device, you're responsible for those files, and it's free because it shows ads.

Effective 7 November 2026. These terms apply to Googly Player, published by Binary Buddies.

In short

  • Googly Player plays and organises files that are already on your device. It supplies no content.
  • You're responsible for your files, and for having the right to play and keep them.
  • It is free to install and shows ads.
  • Keep copies of anything important: we hold none of your files, so we cannot bring them back.

This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what apply.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Googly Player is published by Binary Buddies, an independent software studio run by Hitesh Virani in Junagadh, Gujarat, India ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Googly Player. By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Google Play's own terms also apply to downloading the app from Google Play and to anything you pay for there.

2. What Googly Player does

Googly Player is a media player for the videos, music and photos already stored on your Android phone or tablet. It has no accounts and no cloud sync.

3. Who can use it

Googly Player is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. If you are under the age at which you can accept a contract where you live, a parent or guardian needs to accept these terms for you.

4. Your right to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Googly Player on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as long as you follow these terms. You agree not to:

  • copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, or publish a changed version of it;
  • take the app apart or try to get at its source code, except where the law lets you;
  • use it to break the law or anyone else's rights;
  • interfere with the app, or with any server or service it connects to.

5. Price, ads and purchases

Googly Player is free to install. It pays for itself with banner and full-screen ads, served through IronSource from networks including Google AdMob, Unity Ads and Adsterra. We do not choose each ad or endorse what it offers, and anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and them.

If Googly Player ever offers something to buy, you buy it through Google Play. Google takes the payment, and Google Play's refund rules apply, along with any right to cancel or get a refund that the law gives you.

6. Your files

Googly Player reads your files on your device. We never receive them, so:

  • They are your responsibility. You are responsible for what is on your device and for having the right to play, keep and share it.
  • Deleting is your decision. Deleting a file goes through Android's own confirmation. A photo you delete in the app goes to its Recycle Bin first, where you can restore it. Once a file is gone from there, we cannot bring it back.
  • Uninstalling removes the app's data. That includes your playlists, favourites and history, and it can include photos still in the Recycle Bin or in Hidden Albums. Restore anything you want to keep to your gallery before you uninstall.
  • Hidden Albums use your phone's lock. They can be locked with your device's fingerprint, face unlock or PIN, which Android handles. We have no way to open them for you.

Please keep copies of anything important somewhere other than this app.

7. Your information

How Googly Player handles information is explained in its privacy policy.

8. Updates and availability

We may update Googly Player, change or remove features, or stop offering it. We cannot promise that it will work on every device or version of Android, or that it will always be available.

9. Who owns what

Googly Player, including its name, logo, artwork and code, belongs to us or to those who license it to us. These terms give you the right to use it, not ownership of it. Parts of the app come from others and keep their own licences. The Photos map view uses map tiles from OpenStreetMap. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. No guarantee, and the limits of our liability

We work to keep Googly Player reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We cannot promise that it will always work, be free of errors or suit your particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Your rights as a consumer

If you use the app as a consumer, you keep every right the law of your country gives you that cannot be signed away. In the European Economic Area and the UK, that includes your legal rights if digital content does not work as described. If anything in these terms conflicts with those rights, those rights win.

12. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by uninstalling Googly Player.

13. Law and disputes

If you have a problem, please email us first at hello@binarybuddies.in. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of Junagadh, Gujarat, India. If you are a consumer living in another country, this does not take away the protection of that country's mandatory laws, or any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. We will update this page and its update history, and where we can we will make important changes clear in the app or on its store page. If you keep using Googly Player after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, please stop using it.
